It is a small, fertile village, in term of or as far as agricultural concerned, located at the district of Penebel, in the north of the town of Tabanan, about 48 kilometers away from Denpasar to the northwest direction.
Some break the name of the village in two, Jati, meaning True or Right and Luwih as Truly, altogether making them becoming ‘Truly True’ perhaps in the sense to describe it in term of agricultural matter knowing the fact that it is a village that is ‘truly true’ green and fertile throughout the year producing not only good quality of rice but its red rice which is still intensely planted until today making the village famous all over the island as the best red rice productor.
Good rice production can only come to fertile land and good rice irrigation through the Subak traditional irrigation system, and a hard working famers and that’s all available here in the village. The vast, fertile area of mountain slope has made the village surrounded by beautiful green landscape of terrace rice field that interests tourist to see the place even though it has long back history of foreigners present when the village used as defend fortress by the Dutch back in 1910 to 1942.
Te beautiful landscape of terraced padi field now has attracted more and more tourists to see the place and usually tour to the area is combined with either tour to Bedugul mountain resort, to the temple of Batukaru or to the Tanah Lot temple for sunset in the afternoon.
